THE NISSAN LEAF
Details like the flat under-body tray and the cleverly sculpted headlights, which deflect air around the door mirrors, all contribute to the Nissan LEAF's aerodynamic shape with a drag coefficient of just 0.28, designed to keep wind resistance and noise down, and efficiency up.
LIGHT THE WAY EFFICIENTLY
LED headlights – standard on the Tekna – use half as much energy as traditional headlights, saving you more battery power for the road. The LEAF's headlights are also designed to maximise aerodynamic efficiency by diverting airflow around the door mirror, making it quieter inside too.
Does a solar-powered radio sound like music to your ears? The optional solar cell spoiler, available on the Tekna, converts sunlight into energy, helping power your air con, the 12 volt outlet and the audio system.
LIGHTWEIGHT ALLOY WHEELS
17'' alloy wheels – standard on the Tekna – not only look great, but are lightweight too, so they reduce unsprung weight and contribute to the Nissan LEAF's efficiency.
NO NOISE, NO VIBRATIONS
Since it is 100% electric, the Nissan LEAF drives in near silence and with no annoying engine vibration. Pedestrians are still alerted to the LEAF by a warning noise that is projected forwards below speeds where tyre noise would be heard first.
EASY-OPEN, ILLUMINATED CHARGE PORT
Just press a button on your Nissan Intelligent Key – standard on all LEAF models – and the charge door pops right open. And with a light inside, it’s easier than ever to insert the charger.
EXPERIENCE STATE OF THE ART
Power up your Nissan LEAF with the start push button and you’ll hear the sound of progress from your choice of start-up sounds. Look around the cabin of your hatchback and, depending on the specification, you’ll find a range of high-tech features including NissanConnect EV, Around View Monitor, Bluetooth and more.
INNOVATION FOR FIVE
The five seater Nissan LEAF hatchback is all about efficiency, and that includes having room for five inside a regular family car body. And with 60:40 split folding rear seats, plenty of storage, a USB port, climate control and more, it’s got everything you could want, plus electric power.
ROOM TO SPARE
Unlike hybrids, which wedge their batteries between the boot and rear seats, the Nissan LEAF's battery pack is stowed in the floor. That leaves more room in the boot. With 370 litres of boot space, the Nissan LEAF can accommodate your family's luggage, or a pair of golf bags, and that’s with the 60:40 split folding rear seats upright.
